Aurangabad : GIS Property Survey is being conducted in the city by Aurangabad Smart City Development Corporation Limited and Aurangabad Municipal Corporation. Of these, door-to-door survey of 13,000 properties has been done. At present, the survey is being done in Zone 3 and Zone 4 of the city. This information was given by the Deputy Commissioner of Municipal Corporation Aparna Thete.
He informed that GIS survey is being conducted in the city under the guidance of Astik Kumar Pandey, the city commissioner and administrator and CEO of Smart City. For the first time in the city, survey is being done with GIS technology. Through this survey 300 level maps of various components of city roads, pipelines etc. are being prepared. To make this map, survey is being done using drone camera, satellite and physical (home survey). Out of these, the work of drone and satellite survey has been completed.
The satellite map has been obtained from National Remote Sensing Centre, Hyderabad. The map is based on the information obtained from these two techniques. This map will be verified by physical survey. Also the ownership of the property will be recorded through this physical survey. Also, this GIS survey will create a unique GIS ID for all properties, small and large, in the city. Project Engineer of Aurangabad Smart City Faiz Ali said that Aurangabad Smart City and its employees are continuously conducting survey from Integrated Operations Command and Control Center.
