Firozabad: Dr. Mukesh Verma, BJP MLA from Shikohabad assembly constituency of Firozabad district of Uttar Pradesh (UP Assembly Election 2022), issued a letter on Thursday morning and resigned from the primary membership of the Bharatiya Janata Party. In a letter sent to the state president of the Bharatiya Janata Party, he has written that in the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), the backward Dalits and minorities were not given any attention and no respect was given to them.
He said that under the leadership of Swami Prasad Maurya, ignoring the voices of the backward, dalits, unemployed, youth and medium and small scale businessmen, shopkeepers etc. I resign from the primary membership of the party. In the letter, he wrote that Swami Prasad Maurya ji is the voice of the exploited victims and he is our leader, I am with him.

The MLA has also sent a copy of this letter to the National President of BJP. Former labor minister of the state government Swami Prasad Maurya on Tuesday and another former minister Dara Singh Chouhan resigned on Wednesday. There is speculation that both these ministers may join the Samajwadi Party on Friday along with their supporting MLAs. There is talk among his supporters that Verma may join the Samajwadi Party.
