Mangeshkar was found infected with the corona virus and had minor symptoms of the disease. He was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of Breach Candy Hospital on January 8, where he was undergoing treatment under the supervision of Dr Pratit Samdani and his team. His condition had improved and the ventilator was removed, but his health deteriorated again on Saturday.
