Bhopal. The Meteorological Department issued an Orange Alert on Monday in view of the continuation of severe cold wave and severe winter in Madhya Pradesh for the next two days. The Meteorological Department has predicted frost in 16 districts of the state in the next 24 hours, due to which an orange alert has also been issued.

Saha told ‘Bhasha’ that in the districts of Bhopal, Hoshangabad, Indore, Ujjain, Rewa, Shahdol, Sagar, Jabalpur, Gwalior and Chambal divisions of Madhya Pradesh, there will be severe cold wave at many places along with some places for the next two days. But cold wave is forecast. He said that apart from this, in the districts of Rewa division of the state and districts of Jabalpur, Balaghat, Seoni, Narsinghpur, Mandla, Betul, Raisen, Sehore, Indore, Dhar, Ujjain, Shajapur and Datia, there would be severe winter at some places for the next two days. Along with this, severe cold weather is expected at many places.
Saha said that at the same time, there is a possibility of frost in the next one day in Rewa, Umaria, Chhatarpur, Tikamgarh, Mandla, Balaghat, Sehore, Bhopal, Raisen, Bhind, Morena, Sheopur, Gwalior, Guna, Shivpuri and Datia districts. .

He said that due to snowfall in the northern hill states of Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir, Madhya Pradesh has been in the grip of cold for the last two days due to cold winds coming from there.
Saha said that during the last 24 hours (from Sunday morning to Monday morning), there was a severe cold wave in Umaria, Khajuraho, Naugaon, Sagar, Bhopal, Raisen and Gwalior districts of the state, while 17 other districts remained cold.
At the same time, during the last 24 hours, it was a cold day in Seoni, Betul, Indore, Dhar and Ujjain districts of the state, while 13 districts including Bhopal and Jabalpur experienced severe cold.
He said that in the last 24 hours, the lowest minimum temperature of 1.2 degree Celsius was recorded in Umaria and Naugaon in the state. Saha said that in the last 24 hours, Bhopal recorded a minimum temperature of 3.4 degree Celsius. (agency)
