Mumbai: The Central Railway will operate a 14-hour infrastructure block on the Down fast line between Thane and Diva railway stations on Sunday, 23 January. During this 2 hours infrastructure block on Up fast line between Thane-Diva stations is included. It is to be noted that, this is being done to connect the old line with the existing fast lines and to introduce the crossover in respect of Thane-Diva 5th and 6th line.
According to the railways, the block will be operated for 2 hours on the Down fast line from 01.20 am to 3.20 pm on Saturday-Sunday midnight and on Sunday from 12.30 pm to 2.30 pm on the Up fast line. During the block period, trains will run on Up and Down slow lines between Diva-Thane.
Dn Fast Suburban/Mail/Express trains leaving Dadar after 11.40 pm on Saturday i.e. 22nd January till 2 am on the next day 23rd January will be diverted on Dn slow line between Matunga to Kalyan. Dn Mail/Express trains will not halt at Thane station. Dadar – Sawantwadi Road Tutari Express will run on Dn fast line without diversion and with its scheduled stoppages.
According to Railways, Dn Mail/Express Kalyan bound trains leaving Lokmanya Tilak Terminus after 12 PM on Sunday i.e. 23rd January will be diverted between Mulund and Kalyan on Dn slow line and will not stop at Thane station.
The pattern after the block starts-
According to the Railways, the suburban/mail/express trains leaving Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus, Dadar and Lokmanya Tilak Terminus from 2 am on Sunday till the completion of the block will be diverted on the Down slow line between Mulund and Kalyan. Kalyan bound Dn Mail/Express trains will not halt at Thane station. Passengers from Thane are allowed to board trains from Dadar and Kalyan stations respectively. Konkan Departed Dn Mail Express trains will halt at Thane Platform No. 7 and pass through.

After the block, Dn fast local/mail express trains towards Kalyan will run via Thane platform number 5 on the new alignment of Dn fast running via Kalwa and Mumbra stations in Thane-Diva section, railways said.
