New Delhi/Mumbai. According to a big news in the morning, Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut wrote a letter to Rajya Sabha Chairman Venkaiah Naidu on Tuesday, alleging that he refused to help in toppling the Maharashtra government. After doing this, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) is troubling him and his family a lot. He also said that the ED and other probe agency officials “have now become puppets of their political masters”. Raut said the officers have even admitted before him that he “has been asked by his ‘boss’ to ‘fix’ me.”

Not only this, Raut has made many other sensational claims. He said that he was threatened with sending him to jail for refusing to help in conducting the mid-term elections in Maharashtra. He said in his letter that, “About a month ago, some people contacted me and asked to help us in toppling the state government in Maharashtra. They wanted me to play an important role in such an effort to push the state towards mid-term elections. But I categorically refused to be a party to any such secret agenda, to which I was again warned that if my refusal would cost me a very heavy price. I was even told that the days ahead of me could be like that of a former Union Railway Minister who spent many years behind bars.
Not only this, the Shiv Sena leader wrote in his letter that, “I was even warned that apart from me, two senior ministers in the Maharashtra cabinet as well as two senior leaders in Maharashtra should also be put behind bars under the PMLA Act. Will be given, due to which again mid-term elections will be held in the state.
At the same time, Shiv Sena MP Raut said that, “His family has about 1 acre of land in Alibaug, which he bought about 17 years ago, but the people who sold the land to him and his family members were given to me by ED and other agencies. Threats are being made to make statements against him. They are being asked to say that they have received cash from me over and above the agreement value.”
Raut further said, “In the year 2012-13, some people had sold a small land to me and my family, something similar is happening with them too. Day by day, ED and other agencies officials call these people and threaten to send them to jail and attach their property unless they give statement against me.
However, all the properties are in the public domain and have been mentioned in the affidavits filed along with my nomination papers for Rajya Sabha. In all these years I have not been asked any question about this. However, now suddenly it has become a ‘matter of concern’ for the ED and other agencies. The ED and other agencies do not have the task of “investigating” my properties that were bought almost 20 years ago.”
Now with all this, Raut claimed that 28 people have been ‘wrongly’ picked up by the investigating agencies so far. Along with this, there has been a threat of dire consequences if I do not give a statement against me. While almost alluding to the Money Laundering Act enacted in 2003, he alleged that, “ED and other central agencies are using it to threaten and harass political rivals of the BJP.”
Sanjay Raut further wrote that, “Ever since Shiv Sena broke its ties with BJP in Maharashtra, we are seeing that Shiv Sena MPs and leaders are being targeted by using law enforcing agencies like Enforcement Directorate. Enforcement Directorate staff is now leaving no stone unturned to intimidate our MLAs, MPs and politicians as well as their relatives, friends and acquaintances. But he also said that he is not scared at all and that he “will not bow down but will always speak the truth and stand by the truth.”
