Nashik : The Office of the Secondary Education Officer in the Zilla Parishad has received serious complaints regarding the recovery of tuition fees from various schools in the city and district. For online or offline education of students is being stopped. Taking cognizance of this, the secondary education authorities have ordered not to deprive the students of education as the parents have not paid the school fees due to the corona pandemic.
Based on these complaints, the Secondary Education Officers have clarified that no one can be denied education on the basis of fees. The School Education Department has ordered a 15% reduction in fees for the academic year 2020-21. As a result, the government has ordered reimbursement of 15 per cent of the fees or the same amount in the next academic year to the parents who have paid the full fees. According to the Department of Secondary Education, the Office of the Secondary Education Officer has received complaints that students are being denied education due to non-payment of tuition fees.

In this background, no student should be denied online and offline education for non-payment of fees, and the fees charged for closed school during the academic year should be waived, the secondary education officer said. The Secondary Education Officer said that during the COVID epidemic, the students have not paid the school fees, dues, so the school management should not stop any student from appearing or studying in the direct or online examination nor the results of such students should be stopped. The Secondary Education Officer has also warned of action against schools not following government instructions.
