Amravati, In the backdrop of Corona, the district administration had decided to keep the school closed till 4 February. But along with the teachers, there is a demand from the parents to start the school. Therefore, the Zilla Parishad Education Officer has sent a proposal to the District Collector regarding starting classes from class 5th to 12th in the district following the Corona Prevention Rules. Due to which schools are likely to start in the district from Monday 7 February.
Schools closed since 6 January
Due to the increasing infection of Corona, it was decided to keep the schools closed in the state from January 6. But in view of the academic loss of the students, the parents as well as the teachers had demanded to start the school. Therefore, the state government has restored the rights of the local administration to open schools from January 24.
The administration has been allowed to start the schools after reviewing the situation. But in view of the increasing infection of Corona in the district, it was decided to keep the school closed till 4 February. But now the demand for starting offline classes in the district is increasing. In view of the decreasing cases of corona in the district, permission has been given to start tourist places. So hopefully schools will start too.
The Zilla Parishad Education Officer has also sent a proposal to District Collector Pavneet Kaur to start schools from class 5 to 12 following the rules of Corona. However, the district administration has not taken any decision in this regard till late night of 4 February. But from Monday 7th February, classes from 5th to 12th are likely to start in the district.

Following the Corona rules, a proposal has been sent to District Collector Pavneet Kaur to start schools from class 5 to 12 in the district. But so far no decision has been taken on that proposal. The decision to start the school rests with the District Collector.
