On Monday, BJP and ABVP workers staged a strong protest outside Home Construction Minister Jitendra Awhad’s house in Thane. During this, NCP party workers of Awhad also reached there to face the BJP workers. Clashes also broke out between the workers of both the sides. After the situation became tense, the police force also had to sweat a lot to bring it under control.
The police also had to use mild force to disperse the crowd. At the same time, many activists were also taken into custody. ABVP leaders alleged that NCP workers indulged in violence in their peaceful protest, while the police remained mute spectators.
