Igatpuri : The work on the old Mumbai-Agra main road in Igatpuri city was started with huge funds. But even after three months the work is not completed. This is causing problems to the drivers and citizens. The MLAs (MLAs) have given a huge amount to the Public Works Department for the construction of the road.
The work on the main road of the city is going on at a snail’s pace, at some places it takes up to one and a half months to complete the excavation, but the residents of the area, including the drivers, are worried about the lack of further work. If the road was not to be paved, then why has the condition of the road been made worse by digging the road from time to time, the question is being raised by the citizens. This is the only main road to reach the main market for citizens of Talegaon, Jogeshwari, Athchal, Sahabangla, Shivajinagar, Gavatha, Pimpri, Nandgaon, Phangulgawan and nearby villages. The road work is being done with the funds given by MLA Hiraman Khoskar. This work was inaugurated by the MLA on 25 December. It was expected that due to the availability of funds, the work would speed up, but even after 2 months the work has not progressed as it should have. The condition of this road from Teen Wood Bridge, Balaji Mandir to Talegaon Road is very bad.

There was an atmosphere of happiness among the citizens as soon as the new road was built. But even after excavation of the entire road, further work on this road has not started. Due to the deep potholes on this road, driving has become difficult. Some cars have fallen into deep potholes, causing the car’s chamber to burst. The traffic on this road has increased and the narrow road and vehicular congestion have created new problems in this area. The condition of the three wooden road is also not good. On one side the work of the new road is going on at a slow pace, while on the other side there is a paved road. As there are no dividers on this route, this road is inviting accidents. This is a route from Mahindra Company to Girnare, it is being built with a fund of Rs 6.5 crore. There is a demand that MLA Hiraman Khoskar should pay attention to this.
