- Pay the revenue on March 10
- The District Magistrate reached the brick kilns!
- 40 percent revenue rebate on bricks
- Instructions to fill revenue before March 10
- 100 percent revenue on soil
- Illegal construction on brick kiln, action will be taken next year
Akola. District Magistrate Neema Arora herself has now taken the initiative to recover the revenue from the brick kilns. While inspecting the brick kilns in Akot tehsil, the District Magistrate has appealed to the owners of the brick kilns to pay the revenue immediately. Along with this, orders have also been given to give 60 percent exemption from the amount of revenue under the Panchnama of Patwari and to recover only 40 percent by March 10.
Some brick kiln owners in Akot tehsil have not paid revenue for the last 8 to 10 years and some for four to five years. Earlier, officers and employees who went to collect dues were either stopped by some political leader, or the brick kiln owners themselves argued with them and sent them back.
Meanwhile, District Magistrate Neema Arora, after reviewing the situation, herself went to the recovery site to collect revenue from the brick kilns. He checked the list of dues and turned to Dilip Sultane’s brick kiln in Nakhegaon. On reaching his brick kiln, the District Magistrate asked the brick kiln owners present there about the outstanding amount and appealed to them to pay the revenue. On this, Dilip Sultane alleged that the patwari has wrongly charged the revenue.
To corroborate his statement, he informed the District Magistrate about the material required to make bricks. He said that 40 percent clay and 60 percent other materials which include ash, wood sawdust, bakas i.e. sugarcane sawdust and rice husk are used for making bricks. But in the Panchnama, the Patwari has fixed the revenue by considering the entire brick as clay.
As soon as the matter came to light, District Magistrate Neema Arora ordered to recover 40 percent revenue on bricks and 100 percent revenue on soil kept in brick kilns. Similarly, keeping in mind the situation of Corona, gave an ultimatum to pay this revenue by 10 March. Otherwise, the brick kilns will be sealed, such information was also given at this time.
Tehsildar Nilesh Madke, Tehsil Agriculture Officer Shinde, Divisional Officer Vishal Sherekar, Anil Oimbe and all the patwaris of Chohotta Bazar division had participated in this campaign of Revenue Department.
Action will be taken on brick kilns located on the road next year
Some brick kilns have been constructed near the road between Chohotta to Gandhigram on Akola-Akot road. Some brick kiln owners have made some permanent construction works on the side of this road. In this, the rules of the highway have been broken illegally. Similarly, the District Magistrate has expressed great displeasure over the huge obstruction in the traffic.
But due to the financial difficulties of the brick kiln owners during the Corona period of the last two years, this year the brick kilns near Akot Akola should not be acted upon in human terms, but next year the District Magistrate directed Tehsildar Nilesh Madke that they should not take any action against the brick kilns near Akola. No brick kiln or concrete construction should be seen nearby. The District Magistrate has also directed the brick kiln owners to issue notices. As a result, there are indications that the Akot-Akola road will be smoother and safer, thereby eliminating pollution and traffic congestion.
