However, today the most different discussion is about the legislative election results. State’s five-time chief minister and Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) leader Parkash Singh Badal is trailing by 1,416 votes in his stronghold Lambi assembly seat. Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) candidate Gurmeet Singh Khudiyan is leading in Lambi seat. Counting of votes for 117 assembly seats in Punjab is underway from 8 am on Thursday.
At present, in the initial trends, the Aam Aadmi Party seems to be winning a strong majority in Punjab by repeating the story of Delhi. There is a tough fight between the Congress and the Akali Dal for the second number. However, these are only trends and the results will have to wait a little longer.
