Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee (PPCC) chief Navjot Singh Sidhu on Monday accused Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal of cheating the people of Punjab. Sidhu accused Kejriwal of cheating people and scam by seeking public opinion to declare AAP’s chief ministerial candidate, claiming that 21.6 lakh messages and calls were received in four days.
Addressing the media on Monday, Sidhu said, “He launched a private number. He said that 21.6 lakh messages and calls were received. This means every second 12 incoming phones were ringing day and night. Even if 5,760 calls or messages are not received. This is a deceptive scheme to dupe people. They are promoting this fake news.”
Sidhu said that the Congress has complained to the Election Commission in this matter. He said, “When you are asking the name of AAP’s CM candidate, why is Navjot Singh Sidhu’s name coming up. It is impossible to get 22 lakh messages. If you do your maths right, it will get 8 to 12 in a second. Messages were coming in and he was decoding them too.”
He further added, “I challenge him to give us the record of 21 lakh calls. Imagine how many people would be needed to decode 21 lakh messages. Even computers cannot do it. These are despicable.” are lies.”

The Punjab Congress president further said, “You will need at least Rs 25 to 40 crore, and many people will have to work continuously to decode it in four months. They would have recorded 8 to 12 responses in a second.” It is humanly impossible. A call will take 25 seconds. It is impossible to read 21.6 lakh responses in four days.”
Sidhu said that through this fake campaign, Kejriwal created fake news. He said, “He is a master. Last time also he had given money to conduct the survey. People of Punjab are disillusioned. He makes a smokescreen. He should apologize to the voters of Punjab. He is a trickster and a man. They are scammers.”
The PCC chief attacked by saying that Kejriwal takes high moral ground but is a trickster, a hypocrite and his move was nothing but a deceptive scheme to fool the people of Punjab.
