Punjab Congress Crisis: After AICC meeting, Navjot Sidhu said, “Full trust in Congress President”, important announcement will be made tomorrow

Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee chief Navjot Singh Sidhu arrived at AICC office on Thursday to meet AICC General Secretary Harish Rawat and Congress General Secretary KC Venugopal and discuss the party’s organizational matters related to Punjab Congress. Sidhu, who was made Punjab Congress chief in July this year, had resigned last month due to internal differences with the party.

However, Sidhu’s resignation was rejected by the Congress high command. Harish Rawat said, “Navjot Singh Sidhu and Charanjit Channi have spoken on some issues, a solution will be found… there are some things which take time.”

After the meeting, Harish Rawat told the media, “Sidhu clearly said that the orders of Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi will be acceptable to him. The order is very clear that he will complete his work as the President of the Pradesh Congress Committee Punjab. Do it with strength. Tomorrow you will get more information in a formal way.”

Sidhu said, “Whatever I had for Punjab, Punjab Congress, I have conveyed my concerns to the party high command. I have full faith in Congress President, Priyanka ji and Rahul ji. Whatever decision they will take, they will.” Will be in the interest of Congress and Punjab, I will follow their every order.”

Earlier this week, Rawat had informed in a tweet that Sidhu would meet the Punjab Congress to discuss “organizational matters” with them. This is the first official meeting between Sidhu and the Congress central leadership after his resignation.

Meanwhile, yesterday Sidhu told the media that he was always grateful to the party high command for giving him a chance, but added that there can never be a compromise.

Sidhu said, “I have “Ishq” with Punjab. What does “Ishq” mean? People think it is something physical. No… All relations break down and Punjab has something like this for me.” Ishq”, those who understand my “Ishq” for Punjab will never blame me.”

Cricketer-turned-politician Sidhu said, “My merit was ignored everywhere. In politics 5 can be changed to 50 and 50 to zero… I will always be grateful to him, but how to move forward by compromising? The law stands like a monster and bites you.”
