Lucknow : Among the political parties promising gifts for the public in the election time, the Congress has released a manifesto in Uttar Pradesh with the promise of half the electricity bill for everyone, clearing the outstanding bill of the Corona period and waiving the entire loan of the farmers. Congress national general secretary and in-charge of Uttar Pradesh Priyanka Gandhi while releasing the manifesto for the assembly elections in the capital on Wednesday said that it has been prepared after talking to more than one lakh people from different parts of the state.
In the manifesto of the Congress, it has been talked about regularization of contract workers with a promise to stop outsourcing recruitment in all departments. A phased regularization of all contractual workers including scavengers working in state bodies and panchayats has been promised.

According to the manifesto, the honorarium of cooks working in government schools will be increased to Rs 5000. A promise has also been given to all the village heads across the state to give Rs 6000 and to the watchmen of the villages Rs 5000 per month. All ad-hoc teachers will be regularized, while Shikshamitras will also be regularized on the basis of experience and length of service. Two lakh vacant posts in the education department will be filled up expeditiously. A promise has also been made to appoint Sanskrit and Urdu teachers in the state.

Dung will be procured on the lines of Chhattisgarh
Referring to the problem caused by stray animals in Uttar Pradesh, Priyanka Gandhi said that wherever she has gone, people have told about it. If the Congress party comes to power, the farmers who have suffered loss due to stray animals will be given a compensation of Rs 3000 per acre. Under the Godhan Yojana, cow dung will be procured on the lines of Chhattisgarh at the rate of Rs.2 a kg in the state, which will be used for making manure.
Issued manifesto after taking opinion from the people
Priyanka Gandhi said that the Congress party has already issued a manifesto in the name of separate power legislation for women and recruitment legislation for youth and now it is presenting this public manifesto for the common people. He said that for its preparation, people were talked to in all the assembly constituencies of the state and experts from different fields were consulted and included.
Congress will give government jobs to 20 lakh people
He said that clusters of traditional industries like leather in Kanpur and brass in Moradabad would be developed if Congress government is formed in the state. In these clusters, the youth will be provided with loans and other facilities at just one percent interest to set up their enterprise. Government procurement of wheat and paddy from farmers in the state will be done on the lines of Chhattisgarh at Rs 2500 and sugarcane at Rs 400. If the Congress party comes to power, it will give government jobs to 20 lakh people. In this, where 12 lakh vacant government posts will be filled, 8 lakh new posts will be created. 40 percent of all these posts will be reserved for women only.
Electricity bill of all domestic consumers half promised
In the manifesto of the Congress, along with halving the electricity bill of all the domestic consumers of the state, it has been promised to completely waive the electricity expenditure during the Corona period. Priyanka Gandhi said that the entire loan of all the farmers would be waived off as soon as her party was sworn in to form the government. He said that this was done in just a few hours as soon as the Congress government was formed in Chhattisgarh. The Congress manifesto has promised financial assistance of Rs 25000 to the people suffering from Corona and Rs 50 lakh to the families of the Corona Warriors who lost their lives in the epidemic.
Promise to include Kol caste in tribal category
The Congress has promised to include the Kol caste in the tribal category along with giving rights to all the Mallah fraternity to the river resources. The manifesto has promised to give one seat each in the Legislative Council to artisans, weavers as well as ex-servicemen. In the manifesto regarding harassment of journalists, it has been said to end the cases registered against them.
