Mumbai: The cases of Omicron in Maharashtra have increased to 167 till Wednesday morning. Concern has increased in Maharashtra regarding the ever-increasing Covid-19 cases in Mumbai. Meanwhile, a high-level meeting of the administration has been held in Mumbai to prevent the increasing cases of corona. It is being told that in this meeting, top officials of the administration including BMC Commissioner Iqbal Singh Chahal, Mumbai Mayor Kishori Pednekar and Aditya Thackeray were present.
According to ANI, Maharashtra Minister Aaditya Thackeray, Mayor Kishori Pednekar and Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) Commissioner Iqbal Singh Chahal have held a meeting to discuss the current COVID situation in the city. Earlier, Maharashtra Health Minister Rajesh Tope said that the increase in the number of active cases in the state is a matter of concern. Mumbai’s positivity rate is 4%. If it goes above 5%, then we have to think of imposing sanctions. CM will soon hold a meeting with the COVID Task Force.

According to ANI, Tope told that, so far 167 Omicron cases have been reported in the state. Of these, 19 patients have been discharged. None of these patients was in critical condition. We have to think of imposing restrictions to control the crowd in public transport, marriage functions etc.
