Onion becoming cheaper in the market

Apart from festive season, rains had increased prices
Potato and onion supplies were affected due to rain for some time. Due to this, their prices had increased. Apart from this, their demand was increased due to festive season. Due to lack of supply according to demand, the price jumped. Apart from this, when the Central Government changed the rules of storage and removed the limit of storage, after that the prices showed a rise.
Potato-onion is expensive every year in rain
Potato-onion is expensive every year in the rains and if it rains for a long time, that is, it rains in September and October, then it also affects the prices of potato-onion. There has been no rain for some time, due to which its supply is maintained and the price is not going up very fast now. However, they believe that if it rains this month, as if it rains occasionally in November, then their prices may again rise. However, its expectation seems to be less this time.
Will get relief before Diwali
The central government has imported 15,000 tonnes of potatoes and 15,000 tonnes of onions from abroad through NAFED, but Rajendra Sharma believes that this is not going to have much effect because now Indian stock is also going to come in the market. However, due to this decision of the government, those who started depositing stocks started to pull out and prices started coming down. The government also set a maximum storage limit of 25 tonnes on 23 October. According to Sharma, from November 10 onwards, the prices of potatoes will reduce before Diwali. According to Secretary Wadhwan of Lasalgaon, the way onion prices are low in the market, its effect will soon be seen in the retail market and people will get relief from onion inflation.
