New Delhi, Police Sub Inspector Sanjeev Kumar (52), who was involved in the Batla House encounter in 2008, has died in an accident. Sanjeev has also been awarded the President’s Police Medal and Gallantry Medal.
Let us tell you that Sanjeev, who lives in Baba Haridas Nagar area of Delhi, had an accident on December 28. After which he died during treatment. Police handed over the body of Sanjeev Kumar to his family members after post-mortem.
Sub Inspector Sanjeev was crossing the road on December 28 after parking his car in front of Baba Haridas Nagar police station. During this, a speeding bike came from the front and hit them. After which he was seriously injured.

On investigation of this accident, it was found that 3 youths were riding on the bike with which Sanjeev Kumar was hit. He didn’t even have Hamlet. The youth was also injured in this accident. But, Sanjeev Kumar was hurt more. He also had a serious head injury. He was immediately admitted to Venkatesh Hospital after the accident, where he died during treatment.
Let us tell you that Sanjeev was a resident of Poshangipur village near Janakpuri. Sanjeev Kumar is survived by two daughters and wife. At the same time, Sanjeev Kumar has also got two out-of-turn promotions from Delhi Police. Sanjeev Kumar worked with martyr Inspector Mohan Chand Sharma in Batla House encounter.
