Nagpur. Police raided Tanveer Guest House located in Mominpura campus. The police had received information that gambling was going on in a room of the guest house. On the basis of the news, the police took action and 16 gamblers were arrested while betting on Teen Patti. This guest house is run by lawyer Parvez, the operator of Hotel Tanveer located near Mohammad Ali Sarai of Mominpura. The operators of the guest house were not made accused in this action.
The arrested accused include Mohammad Aslam Mushtaq Ahmed (32), resident of Farukhnagar Teka, Rizwan Ahsanullah Ansari (29), Ijaz Ansari Abdul Rashid (35), Miraj Kamaruddin Ahmed (32), Abu Dawood Abdullah Ansari (28), Mohd Shakir Mohammad, resident of Asinagar. Zafar (28), Irshad Ahmed Mohammad Sharif (32), resident of Tipu Sultan Chowk, Mohsin Ansari, Rauf Ansari (30), Mohsin Ansari, resident of Mominpura, Mohammad Javed Mohammad Ansari (33), Mohammad Sohail Jamil (28), Abu Huraira Mohd Hussain (32), Kabristan Road, Mominpura 29), Mohammad Shahid Mohammad Sagir (30), Naushad Nisar Ansari (30), Muneeb Sadruddin Ansari (22), Mohammad Niaz Mushtaq (35) and Sagir Nizamuddin Ahmed (33), a resident of Qamar Colony.
Police arrested the above gamblers by raiding room number 7 of Tanveer Guest House. Goods worth Rs 3.29 lakh including cash, mobile, two wheeler and playing cards have been seized from them. It is surprising that 16 gamblers gathered in the guest house and gambled and the operators of the guest house did not know about it.
Under the guidance of DCP Gajanan Rajmane and ACP Sanjay Surve, Inspector Jayesh Bhandarkar, Baban Yedge, API Sandeep Bagul, ASI Sanjay Dubey, Constable Prashant Chachane, Purushottam Jagnade, Anant Nanhe, Ranjit Bavane and Nirmala carried out the action.
