Lucknow: In order to make women self-reliant with the mantra of self-reliance, to give a new height to their self-esteem, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is going to shower money on 21st December in Prayagraj, the land of the grand-divine Mahakumbh. In the event like Mahakumbh of Mahila Shakti, PM Modi, women associated with self-help groups under Uttar Pradesh State Rural Livelihood Mission, Banking Correspondent Sakhi, beneficiaries of Mukhyamantri Kanya Sumangala Yojana (Chief Minister Kanya Sumangala Yojana) and nutrition conducted by self-help groups Will give crores of rupees to the production units. Along with this, by communicating with the mother power, he will also inspire them to climb the Himalayas of success.
From the point of view of women’s self-reliance and self-reliance, the day of 21st December is going to be a golden day in the history of not only Uttar Pradesh but the entire country. On Tuesday, PM Modi will transfer one thousand crore rupees to the accounts of 1.60 lakh self-help groups.
16 lakh women will be benefitted
About 16 lakh women will directly benefit from this amount received by these groups. Along with this, the foundation stone of 202 nutritional production units operated by women self-help groups from the lotus feet of the Prime Minister will also be laid. Another big gift is going to be received by the PM. In this program of Prayagraj, he will also transfer an amount of Rs 20.20 crore to one lakh one thousand beneficiaries under Mukhyamantri Kanya Sumangala Yojana in their bank accounts. In the hands of the PM, 80 thousand self-help groups will also get a Community Investment Fund (CIF) of Rs 880 crore at the rate of Rs 1.10 lakh per group. Apart from this, a total of 120 crore rupees will be provided to 60 thousand self-help groups at the rate of 15 thousand rupees per group.

The cost of one nutrition production unit is one crore.
The Prime Minister will lay the foundation stone of 202 nutritional production units to be operated by women’s self-help groups, out of which the cost of establishment of each unit will be one crore rupees. Through these units, direct employment will be available to four thousand women. Under the Integrated Child Development Scheme (ICDS), these units will distribute supporting nutritional items in 600 blocks of the state. With this initiative of the government, self-help groups will get an opportunity to do business worth five thousand crore rupees annually. Since these units will make nutritious food at the local level, therefore, the income of the farmers will also increase by purchasing the material at the local level. Let us inform that the state government is successfully operating two such nutritional production units in collaboration with the World Food Program under the pilot project. Eight thousand per month are also being paid to the members of self-help groups working in these units.
Number of beneficiaries of Kanya Sumangala Yojana will be 10.93 lakh
The Prime Minister will transfer an amount of Rs 20.20 crore under the Mukhyamantri Kanya Sumangala Yojana to the bank accounts of 1.01 lakh beneficiaries in Prayagraj. This scheme is applicable for the provision of timely funds from the birth of the girl child to her higher education. Under this, the government gives a total of 15 thousand rupees. Two thousand rupees on the occasion of girl’s birth, One thousand on completion of one year, Two thousand on admission in class one, Two thousand on admission in class six, Three thousand on admission in class nine, Any degree after passing class ten Or five thousand rupees on taking admission in diploma course. With the transfer of funds by the Prime Minister to 1.01 lakh beneficiaries, the number of beneficiaries of Mukhyamantri Kanya Sumangala Yojana will increase from 9.92 lakh to 10.93 lakh. This is a successful and ambitious scheme of the Yogi government to improve the sex ratio and encourage girl child education.
Honorarium of four thousand rupees to BC Sakhi
To promote women’s self-reliance and financial literacy in villages, the Banking Correspondent (BC) Sakhi scheme of the Yogi government is also writing a new script for self-reliance. In the program of Prayagraj, PM Modi will give honorarium of four thousand rupees to 20 thousand BC friends of the state. This amount will be transferred to their bank accounts. The target of the state government is to appoint BC Sakhi in 58189 gram panchayats of the state. So far 56875 BC Sakhis have been selected. Out of these, the training work of 38341 has also been completed.
An honorarium of four thousand rupees per month will be provided for six months.
After getting the training, BC Sakhi will be able to take a loan of 75 thousand rupees at four percent interest through self-help groups. This amount will be used for the purchase of necessary equipment. BC Sakhi will also be able to get overdraft facility from banks. They will also get an opportunity to withdraw 75 thousand rupees from the amount transferred under schemes like Kisan Samman Nidhi, MNREGA, pension etc. Due to the presence of BC sakhis, the elderly and women of the village will get freedom from running to the banks and other inconveniences. The state government has notified six banks for the promotion of BC Sakhis. It is through these banks that BC Sakhis will be provided an honorarium of Rs.4000 per month for six months in lieu of their work so that they can establish their work. Once the job is established, these Sakhis will get attractive commission from banking transactions.
