New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will unveil the statue of 11th century Vaishnava saint Ramanujacharya near Hyderabad today. In fact, the announcement of Modi’s visit to Hyderabad was made only last month. Chinna Jeyar Swami of Sri Ramanujacharya Ashram had met the Prime Minister in the month of September last year and requested him to visit the city.
It is to be known that the PMO told that the inauguration of the statue will be done at 5 pm. Along with this, PM Modi is also going to visit the Semi-Arid Tropical International Crop Research Institute in Patancheru. President Ram Nath Kovind, Vice President M. Venkaiah Naidu and many other world personalities have been invited for this.

It may be noted that a 216 feet statue of ‘Statue of Equality’ has been installed in the 40-acre campus of Sri Chinna Jeeyar Swamy Ashram. Which will be unveiled by the PM. Also, the Geer Education Trust said that the ‘Statue of Equality’ is one of the second tallest statue in the sitting position.
The statue of ‘Statue of Equality’ of 216 feet has been built to commemorate the 1,000 years of the birth of Sri Ramanujacharya. The total cost of this project is one thousand crore rupees. This idol consists of five metals. Which includes gold, silver, copper, brass and tin. Chinna Jeyar Swami has conceptualized this statue.
It is noteworthy that the statue is placed on a huge lotus which is built on a three-storey 54 feet structure. There is a pictorial representation in the ground floor of 63,444 sq. ft. area amidst this statue showing the information given about the life of Sri Ramanujacharya. Outside Bhadravedi, the idol is surrounded by 108 Divya Desh Kshetras (Vaishnava temples located across the country) built of stone in 34 acres of land.
