New Delhi: Ahead of the Uttar Pradesh Assembly Election 2022, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has given a Metro gift to Kanpur. Earlier, Modi also traveled by Metro with CM Yogi Adityanath. Modi has taken a jibe at the opposition in his address. The PM said that the development of the state was not among the priorities of the earlier governments.

Modi said that before 2014, the total length of the metro used in UP was 9 km. Between 2014-17, the length of the metro increased to 18 km. If you add Kanpur Metro today, the length of the metro in UP has now exceeded 90 kms. Where 9 kilometers and where 90 kilometers.
The PM said that for decades, this has been the situation in our country that one part has been developed and the other is left behind. At the level of the states, it is equally important to remove this inequality at the level of society. That is why our government is working on the mantra of ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas’.
