Oil prices will increase now
Credit rating agency Moody’s Investors Service says that due to non-increase in the retail price of petrol and diesel in the country from November 2021 to March 2022, big oil companies like Indian Oil, Bharat Petroleum and Hindustan Petroleum will get about $ 225 million i.e. 19. There has been a loss of thousand crores. According to Moody’s estimates, Indian Oil has suffered a loss of $ 100 to 110 million (Rs 7631.20 to 8394.33 crore) and both BPCL and HPCL have lost $ 55 to 650 million (Rs 4197.16 to 4960.28 crore). This amount is equal to about 20 percent of the EBITDA of the three companies for the financial year 2021. To compensate for this loss, now the prices of petrol and diesel will have to be increased.
