Ghaziabad. Samajwadi Party (SP) president Akhilesh Yadav said on Saturday that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) says that its government is providing subsidized ration to 80 crore poor people of the country and it is their acknowledgment of India’s increasing poverty, as This is confirmed by surveys around the world.
Yadav said this at a press conference held at Vedanta Farm House. Yadav along with his party’s alliance partner Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD) chief Jayant Choudhary was on a visit to Ghaziabad in support of party candidates. Recalling the year-long farmer protests against the three agriculture laws that have now been repealed, Yadav said that the farmers camped on the Delhi-Ghaziabad border for over a year, but the government instead of sympathizing with them, Barricades, barbed wire and nails were put on the roads to stop them from moving towards Delhi.
