Bhayandar: TheThe construction of the Hisar-Bhayandar Link Road will now be done by the Mumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC). 1500 crore has been expected to be spent on construction. Information about this has been given by Shiv Sena MLA Pratap Sarnaik and Mumbai’s Guardian Minister Aditya Thackeray (Tweet).
It is noteworthy that earlier this road was going to be constructed by MMRDA. BJP leader Narendra Mehta is calling this decision of BMC as an election lollipop. He says that the permission of the Environment and Salt Department is yet to be obtained. Before that construction is impossible. MMRDA is ready to build this road. Will two organizations build the same road?
It is important to increase the connectivity between Mumbai-Mira-Bhayander in the development works of Mumbai city and suburbs. For that @mybmc A 6 km long and 45 m wide road will be constructed from Dahisar Link Road to Bhayander. Mira Bhayander Municipality will have 1.5 km and 4.5 km roads within the limits of MCGM.

Dahisar-Bhayandar Link Road was proposed in 2002
The Dahisar-Bhayander link road was proposed in the year 2002. It was approved by MMRDA in the year 2015. Since the link road is going to pass through CRZ obstructed land and salt department land. Therefore, approval of both these departments is necessary. Because of this the construction of this road could not start. Narendra Mehta claimed that the MMRDA is ready to bear the cost of construction of the road and has given orders to the Mira-Bhayander Municipal Corporation to float the tender.
Will save time and fuel
According to the information provided by Shiv Sena, this link road will be 6 kilometers long and 45 meters wide. One and a half kilometer part of this will come in the extent of Mumbai and 4.5 kilometer part will come in the extent of Mira-Bhayander.
