Notice issued to 92 candidates who did not show expenses, Zilla Parishad-Panchayat Samiti elections

633 candidates were in the fray in the election of Zilla Parishad and Panchayat Samiti, out of which 571 candidates have submitted the details of election expenses, while 92 candidates have not yet given the details of their expenditure. 49 candidates of Bhandara Tehsil area, 24 of Mohadi, 6 of Lakhni, Sakoli 7, Lakhandur 12 and 2 of Pawani have not submitted the expenditure details.

245 candidates for 39 groups of Bhandara Zilla Parishad and 417 candidates from 79 groups of Panchayat Samiti had entered the election battle, out of which 29 candidates of ZIP have not yet submitted the details of their expenditure. Even 12 candidates of Bhandara Tehsil have not yet submitted the details of election expenses with the Returning Officer. 9 of Mohadi tehsil, five of Lakhandur tehsil, 1-1 candidates of Lakhni, Sakoli and Pawani tehsil have not submitted the expenditure details.

The meeting of the Code of Conduct Control Committee was held in the presence of the District Magistrate. In this meeting, the issue of non-paying candidates came to the fore. District Magistrate Sandeep Kadam gave notice to the candidates who did not pay the expenses immediately. During this, the District Magistrate also made it clear that even after issuing the notice, action will be taken against those who do not give details of the expenditure. 6 candidates of Mohadi Nagar Panchayat have not submitted the expenditure details yet.

It is noteworthy that the candidates who have entered the election fray have to give details of the expenditure within 30 days. The Bhandara Zilla Parishad elections are going to be held in two phases, under which the first phase of elections will be held on December 21, while for the second phase, votes will be cast on January 18, while the counting of votes cast in both the first and second phases will be held on January 19.
