This is how the bonus amount will be calculated
- Only those employees who were in service as on 31-3-2021 and have rendered continuous service for at least six months during the year 2020-21, will get the benefit of adhoc bonus. Proportionate pay will be admissible to eligible employees for the period of continuous service from six months to one full year during the year, the eligibility period being taken with reference to the number of months of service.
- The quantum of Adhoc Bonus will be calculated on the basis of Average Emoluments/Calculation ceiling, whichever is lower. To calculate the adhoc bonus for a day, the average emoluments in a year will be divided by 30.4 (average number of days in a month). Thereafter, it will be multiplied by the number of days of the bonus awarded. For example, monthly emoluments of Rs.7000 (where actual average emoluments is more than Rs.7000) can be calculated as follows. Here the monthly bonus of 30 days – 7000×30/30.4 = Rs 6907.89 will be Rs.
- Casual labour, who have worked for 3 years or more in offices within a 6 day week for at least 240 days per year (in case of offices working 5 days a week for three years or more, every Year 206 days) They will be eligible for this non-PLB payment. The amount of adhoc bonus for these will be – 1200×30/30.4 = Rs 1184.21.
In cases where Actual Emoluments is less than Rs. 1200 per month, the amount will be calculated on the basis of Actual Monthly Emoluments.
