Pimpri: Professionals will now have to pay more for a No Objection Certificate (NOC) issued by the Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation to obtain an industry business license. A proposal to charge five thousand rupees instead of 500 rupees for this NOC was presented before the standing committee. However, the Standing Committee has decided to increase the fee by two thousand rupees instead of five thousand. The meeting was presided over by the chairman of the committee, Ed. Nitin Landge.
There are various industrial industries in Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation area. Scrap Centre, Publishing Business, Laundry, RMC Plant and other industrial purposes are subject to necessary clearances by Maharashtra Pollution Control Board. Similarly licenses are issued for flour mills, bakery kundap machines etc. through business license of NMC. However, the Maharashtra Pollution Control Board does not allow this license without a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the Environment Department of the Municipal Corporation before issuing it. So since last year the number of applications for obtaining No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the Environment Department of the Municipal Corporation for the renewal of industries without starting this industry is increasing day by day.
