New Delhi: Before the assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh (UP Assembly Election 2022), all the parties have entered the fray with their full strength. In such a situation, senior Samajwadi Party leader Azam Khan has suffered a major setback. According to a report in ANI, the Supreme Court has adjourned the hearing on Azam Khan’s plea on Thursday. The plea had sought interim bail for campaigning in the upcoming Uttar Pradesh assembly elections.
Actually, the concerned bench was to hear the matter on Thursday but due to non-appearance, the matter was adjourned. Let us inform that Azam Khan has approached the Supreme Court for interim bail for the election campaign.

Azam Khan, in his petition, has stated that, the State has allegedly adopted all means available to purposefully delay the processing of bail applications so that the petitioner is kept in jail during the State Assembly elections to be held in the State of Uttar Pradesh. In his bail plea, Azam Khan has also mentioned that he has been named as an accused in various cases.
