Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari said that the remaining work of 117 km of National Highway in Karnataka will be completed by October. This will reduce the travel time from Bangalore to Mysore to just 75 minutes. He said that there is a demand from the commuters that the Bengaluru-Mysore highway should be opened before the Dussehra festival. So its work will be completed by October.
Gadkari tweeted, “Bengaluru-Nidaghatta-Mysore section of National Highway-275 in Karnataka, a 117 km stretch of ten lanes. It is being built at a cost of Rs 8,350 crore, he said. The work on this part is nearing completion and will be completed by October 2022. Gadkari said that this National Highway will enhance connectivity between two important cities and will also give impetus to the tourism and economy of the region. Gadkari said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, there has been a tremendous pace in the construction of National Highways across the country in the last few years.

First priority to complete on time
Nitin Gadkari said that many infrastructure related projects have been announced under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Corruption free, transparent and timely completion of these projects is our first priority. Gadkari said that 8 km long elevated corridor, 9 major bridges, 42 minor bridges, 64 underpasses, 11 overpasses, 4 ROBs and 5 bypasses have been built in this state-of-the-art project. Which will reduce the traffic. Along with this there will also be a reduction in pollution. Let us inform that the Central Government had approved this project in September 2014 and Nitin Gadkari had laid its foundation stone on March 24, 2018.
