New Delhi: In view of the increasing cases of new variant Omicron of corona virus in the country, new rules have been issued for travelers coming from high risk countries. Under which now passengers traveling to these countries will have to pre-book the RTPCR test in advance. On Tuesday, the Union Aviation Ministry issued a new notification.
According to the notification issued, from December 20, all international travelers from ‘at-risk’ countries arriving at airports of Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai, Bengaluru and Hyderabad will have to compulsorily pre-book the RT-PCR test.

It is to be known that, till now passengers coming from these countries were not required to make pre-booking for the RT PCR test to be done at the airport. Passengers used to come and they were tested. But, in view of the increasing number of passengers coming from outside, the government has issued this order so that the passengers have more convenience at the airport and do not waste time.
The number of Omicron infected in the country is continuously increasing. So far 49 Omicron cases have been confirmed in the country. In which the maximum number of cases 20 are from Maharashtra alone. At the same time, six cases have been reported from the capital Delhi. At the same time, about 9 infected have been found in Rajasthan. Many of these infected have recovered and returned home.
