New Delhi. Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya said on Sunday that NEET-PG counseling will start from January 12. The Supreme Court in its interim order on January 7 had allowed the resumption of medical counseling for NEET-PG admissions for 2021-22.
The court had also upheld the validity of 27 per cent reservation for Other Backward Classes (OBC) students and 10 per cent reservation for Economically Weaker Sections (EWS). Mandaviya tweeted, “As per the assurance given by the Ministry of Health to the resident doctors, after the order of the Hon’ble Supreme Court, the NEET-PG counseling is being started from 12th January 2022 by the Medical Counseling Committee. ,

Before that the exam schedule was changed twice in January and April. Resident doctors from various medical colleges across the country staged protests and boycotted work last month, demanding an early counseling process.
