Pimpri: Since last this week, the new city president of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) Ajit Gawane has been looking quite aggressive. Two days ago, he flaunted the ambitious ‘Vision 2020’ of BJP MLA Mahesh Landge by questioning the development of Bhosari assembly constituency with ready reckoner rates. After this, the politics of Bhosari assembly constituency has again heated up due to the fierce fire in Moshi Garbage Depot. NCP city president Gawane has questioned the BJP whether this fire started itself or was it set to hide its corruption misdeeds?
A sudden fire broke out at Moshi Garbage Depot around 5 pm on Wednesday. Efforts are being made by the fire brigade to douse the fire. The fire has created suspicion at every level. NCP city president Ajit Gawane has also raised doubts on this and demanded an inquiry.

Cause of fire should be investigated
The fire at the garbage depot in Moshi is suspicious and we suspect that it was started to save contractors associated with BJP and corrupt BJP leaders who were collecting bills without doing work worth crores of rupees. Gawane has demanded an immediate inquiry into the cause of the fire from the municipal commissioner.
BJP targeted
Ajit Gawane has issued a statement in this regard saying that there is a municipal garbage depot in Moshi. The fire at the garbage depot on Wednesday is the worst ever. The waste depot is managed by the Department of Health, a number of environmental measures are taken here. The Municipal Corporation spends crores of rupees on these every year. The works being done on contract basis at the Moshi garbage depot have been handed over to the contractors close to the BJP MLA. Billions of rupees have been paid to these contractors without doing any work during the Corona period. BJP veterans have given contracts worth crores of rupees to their colleagues like waste to energy, biomining, capping, medicine spraying etc. None of these works have been completed.
…so will the movement
BJP has done the work of filling the stomach of the contractors by increasing the tenure on the strength of power. The fire may have been used by BJP leaders to save their contractors and thus to suppress the billions of rupees looted through the Moshi garbage depot in the last five years. Therefore, an immediate committee should be appointed to probe whether the fire was lit to cover up corruption and bring the truth before the people. If the inquiry committee is not formed, Gawane has also warned of a violent agitation in front of the Municipal Corporation.
