Nashik: State Home Construction Minister Jitendra Awhad has claimed a loss of 700 to 1 thousand crores of Nashik Municipal Corporation through a tweet. He has ordered an inquiry in this matter.
Jitendra Awhad has said that while carrying out construction work on a plot of more than four thousand square feet, it is mandatory to reserve 20 percent of the plot or flat for the economic poor class as per the rules. Before giving the completion certificate of the construction work, the house concerned has to be transferred to MHADA for sale to the poor section. Despite this, the Nashik Municipal Corporation did not transfer even ten houses in the last eight years. Along with this, the State Home Construction Minister Jitendra Awhad has accused the Municipal Corporation of providing help to the builders. He has claimed loss of 700 to 1000 crores through this. But in this case, the Municipal Corporation has clarified that there was no wrongdoing and no damage has been done.
Jitendra Awhad tweeted

Alleged loss of 700 to 1000 crores
According to the rules of November 2013 Development Control Rules and Integrated Development Control and Promotion Rules implemented from December 2020, this rule has been made to provide flats for economically poor class and low income group. According to this rule, 20 percent of the plot or flat has to be transferred to the Maharashtra Housing and Development Board (MHADA) after getting the completion certificate. But the Nashik Municipal Corporation did not transfer even ten houses and gave completion certificates to the builders. This is a big crime. There has been a loss of 700 to 1000 crores due to this. In the cities of Mumbai, Thane, Pune, MHADA took out lotteries on a large scale. Suspicion was raised as the house near MHADA in Nashik was not transferred. Under this, the suspicion of selling three and a half thousand houses by not transferring them together deepened. From 2013 to 2021, MHADA corresponded 22 times with the Municipal Corporation. But due to non-receipt of a single letter, in November 2021, the Home Minister called a meeting of the municipal officials. Even after this, Jitendra Awhad has claimed of delay in giving information.
