Nashik: Preparations for municipal elections are going on in full swing in Nashik, but in view of the issue of OBC reservation, it seems that this election will not be held on time. There may be a delay of about a month.
In fact, the government has filed a petition in the Supreme Court regarding the issue of OBC reservation. It is not possible to hear this petition and announce the dates of the municipal elections until the decision comes. In such a situation, information is being received from the sources that the elections of Nashik Municipal Corporation will be held in the month of March instead of the second week of February. Elections to 22 municipal corporations of the state are to be held next year. In view of the increased population, the number of 11 corporators has been increased.
