As part of the Rs 1.70 lakh crore Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Package (PMGKP), the government announced free grain and cash payments to women and poor senior citizens and farmers. Rapid implementation of this package is constantly being monitored by the Central and State Governments. Under the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Package, about 42 crore poor people have received financial assistance of Rs 68,820 crore.
An amount of Rs 17,891 crore was sanctioned for payment of first installment of PM-Kisan to 8.94 crore beneficiaries.
20.65 crore (100%) to women Jan Dhan account holders, Rs 10,325 crore was deposited as first installment. 20.63 crore (100%) to women Jan Dhan account holders, Rs 10,315 crore was deposited as second installment. 20.62 crore (100%) to women Jan Dhan account holders, Rs 10,312 crore was deposited as the third installment.
A total of Rs 2,814.5 crore was disbursed in two installments to about 2.81 crores elderly, widows and PwDs. Thus 2.81 crore beneficiaries were transferred benefits in two installments.
1.82 crore building and construction workers received financial assistance of Rs. 4,987.18 crore.
Under the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana, 37.52 lakh metric tonnes of food grains were distributed to 75.04 crore beneficiaries in April 2020. During May 2020, 37.46 lakh metric tonnes of food grains were distributed to 74.92 crore beneficiaries. 36.62 lakh metric tonnes of food grains were distributed to 73.24 crore beneficiaries during June 2020.
This scheme has been extended till five months i.e. November, since then States / UTs have raised 98.31 lakh MT of food grains. In July 2020, 36.09 lakh metric tonnes of food grains were distributed to 72.18 crore beneficiaries. 30.22 lakh metric tonnes of food grains have been distributed to 60.44 crore beneficiaries in August 2020 and 1.92 lakh metric tonnes of foodgrains have been distributed to 3.84 crore beneficiaries by 7th September 2020.
Apart from this, 5.43 lakh metric tonnes of pulses were distributed to 18.8 crore beneficiaries under the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana between April-June 2020. This scheme has also been extended for five months by November 2020 for distribution of gram. Till date, 4.6 lakh metric tonnes of gram has been sent. In July, 1.03 lakh metric tonnes of gram has been distributed among 10.3 crore beneficiary families. 23,258 MT of gram was distributed to 2.3 lakh beneficiary families in August. By September 7, 2020, 1475 metric tonnes of gram has been distributed to 0.15 crore beneficiaries. 86 MT has been distributed to .008 crore beneficiary families for October and 40 metric tons of gram has been distributed to .004 crore beneficiaries for November.
Under self-reliant India, the government has announced to provide free grain and gram to the migrants for two months. According to the information available by the states, the estimated number of migrants is around 28 million. 2.67 lakh metric tonnes of food grains have been distributed to 5.32 crore migrants during the period up to August. This shows that about 2.66 crore beneficiaries per month have benefited. These numbers constitute about 95 percent of the estimated number of migrants. Similarly, 16,417 MT of gram was distributed to 1.64 crore migrants under self-reliant India. Thus, an average of 82 lakh families have been benefited every month.
A total of 8.52 crore cylinders have been booked under Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana (PMUY), which have already been delivered for April and May 2020 under this scheme. 3.27 crores have been given under this scheme for June 2020, 1.05 crores for July, .89 crores for August 2020 and .15 lakh free cylinders for September 2020.
36.05 lakh members of EPFO have availed online payment of non-payment advance amount of Rs 9543 crore from EPFO.
24% EPF contribution of 43 lakh employees amounting to Rs. 2476 crore has been transferred. In March, 34.19 lakh employees were given a profit of Rs 514.6 crore. For April, 32.87 lakh employees got a profit of Rs 500.8 crore, for May 32.68 lakh employees got a profit of Rs 482.6 crore, for June 32.21 lakh employees got a benefit of Rs 491.5 crore, in July 30.01 lakh employees got a profit of Rs 461.9 crore And for August, 1.77 lakh employees were given a profit of Rs 24.74 crore.
MNREGA: Increased wage rates have been notified from 01-04-2020. 195.21 crore working days were created in the current financial year. In addition, Rs 59,618 crore was released to pay the pending amounts of salary and material.
Under the District Mineral Fund (DMF), states have been asked to spend 30% of the funds. This amount is Rs 3,787 crore, out of which Rs 343.66 crore has been spent so far.
