Restrictions on other applications in China, including TikTok, will continue. The government has sent a notice about this to all the apps. The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (IT) has sent a notice after reviewing the responses to the banned app. When contacted, Tittock confirmed to receive notice from the government. A spokesman for TickTock said that they are evaluating the notice and will respond to it in a proper manner.
The company gave priority to the privacy of users

Why was the ban imposed?

The Ministry of Information Technology had said in a statement that many complaints and reports were received from various sources that some mobile apps available on Android and iOS platforms were being misused. Through these applications, users’ data is stolen and being sent in unauthorized ways to locations located outside India.
The Ministry, using its power under Section 69A of the IT Act and Rules, had decided to ban 59 such apps which are involved in such activities which are sovereign and integrity of India, defence of India, the security of the state and public.
