Discussion of alliance with BJP was going on
For the last one year, there was talk of an electoral alliance between the BJP and the MNS. Meanwhile, former Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, BJP State President Chandrakant Patil, Vice President Prasad Lad and other leaders also met MNS chief Raj Thackeray. The leaders of the BJP were denying the union, but there was talk of it being a hidden union. Raj Thackeray clarified the situation in the MNS meeting on Wednesday. Thackeray has made several visits to Pune and Nashik in the last few months. He has also served as the mayor of MNS in Nashik. In the 2012 elections, MNS had shown strength in Mumbai, but in the 2017 elections, it was left behind. After 6 corporators joined Shiv Sena under the leadership of MNS faction leader Dilip Lande, there is only one MNS corporator in the Mumbai Municipal Corporation.
