Meet Peepal Baba, who has planted more than 2 crore trees so far

You will find many noble people who are passionate about nature and actively participate in environmental protection, yet the story of ‘People Baba’, a resident of Delhi and his pledge is the most unique. People Baba has dedicated his life to plants and nature.

This journey, which has been going on for the last 44 years, continues unabated and during this time he has planted more than 2 crore trees. Not only this, but even the Corona epidemic also could not put a break on his resolve.

When did it start?

It is a matter of 1977, when Peepal Baba i.e. Swami Prem Parivartan was just 10 years old, Swami Prem Parivar, born in a military house, took the first plant on January 26, 1977, taking inspiration from the members of his own house and from here on his journey Started

Initially, he used to buy saplings from his pocket and used to plant them on the way to and from school. According to People Baba, his father was in the army and due to this he got the opportunity to travel to many states and get to know nature more closely, and in this way, his love of nature turned into an obsession.

Also did a job

Peepal Baba is a post-graduate in English and he also worked as an English Education Officer in many companies for 13 years, although his tree-planting program continued continuously during this time, after some time he started working towards plants. Decided to make this passion full time. In such a situation, he continued to give tuition classes to children to nurture their family.

Whenever Pipal Baba meets the children during his visit, he also inspires them to travel to other states of the country and get to know nature closely.

Of the more than 2 crore trees planted by Swami Prem Parivartan, more than one crore trees are of Neem and Peepal. Swami Prem Parivartan once went to Pali district of Rajasthan, where he advised the residents to plant trees to get rid of the dry well and the name became his identity after he was addressed by the sarpanch under the name ‘Peepal Baba’. Gone.

‘Give Me Trees’

This was in the year 2010 when Bollywood actor John Abraham saw the work of People Baba and he came forward to take this work on a large scale and advised him to join social media. Moving forward with this, in 2011, Peepal Baba established an organization called ‘Give Me Trees’.

Today, Peepal Baba not only ensures the care of all the trees he planted but also keeps an account of the trees. Peepal Baba ensures plantations daily and through the trust today he also has volunteers who help him in this work. Even in the Corona period, Peepal Baba has planted more than eight thousand trees.
