While 49 people have lost their lives due to this virus. At the same time, more than 200 new patients of Omicron have been found. After the arrival of new cases in the state, the number of active cases has increased to 2,64,708. On Wednesday, the Health Department of Maharashtra issued a bulletin about this.
According to the bulletin, after receiving 43,697 corona patients and 49 deaths in the last 24 hours in the state, the total number of infected people has increased to 73,25,825 and the death toll has increased to 1,41,934. At the same time, after 46,591 people became corona free, the number of people who got cured has reached 69,15,407.

At present, there are a total of 2,64,708 active patients in the state. At the same time, 23,93,704 are in home quarantine and 3,200 people are in institutional quarantine. The recovery rate in the state today is 94.4% and the death rate is 1.93%.

According to the Health Department, 214 new Omicron patients have been found in Maharashtra in the last 24 hours. Of these, 100 have been reported by the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research, 68 by B. J. Medical College and 46 reports have been received from the National Center for Cell Science. Of the new patients, 158 patients have been found in Pune. While 31 patients have been found in Mumbai, 10 in Pune Rural, 4-4 in Kalyan-Dombivli and Pimpri Chinchwad, 2 in Parbhani.
