ChennaiTo control the increasing cases of corona virus infection, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin on Wednesday announced new restrictions and a night curfew from 10 pm to 5 am, which will be effective from January 6.
According to ANI, Tamil Nadu CM MK Stalin said, night lockdown from 10 pm to 5 pm on January 6, and complete lockdown on Sunday, January 9 with restaurants to operate takeaways from 7 am to 10 pm. For. Only online classes will be allowed for classes 1 to 9, and physical classes will be allowed for classes 10, 12.
The government said that everything will remain closed on Sunday (January 9) and only 50 percent capacity will be allowed in buses, local trains and metro. According to a government release, all government and private ‘Pongal events’ and cultural programs are being postponed and all amusement and other parks will remain closed. People will not be allowed to visit religious places on Friday, Saturday and Sunday in a week. Restrictions currently in force in relation to political, cultural and social events will continue.

At the same time, 2,135 cases of ‘Omicron’, a new form of corona virus, have been reported in India so far, out of which 828 people have become infection free or have migrated to other places.
