Pimpri : BJP’s Vasant Borate on Thursday joined the Nationalist Congress Party after resigning from the post of Corporator. While explaining the reason for his resignation, his division enumerated the injustice done to the development of Moshi campus. On the other hand, the BJP termed his decision to leave the party as unfortunate. It is unfortunate that Borate joined the Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation to join the Nationalist Congress, which has been doing injustice to the incorporated villages for 20 years, said BJP corporator and former mayor Rahul Jadhav.
Before joining the Nationalist Corporator Vasant Borate recounted the injustice done to Moshi and other incorporated villages. It was necessary to convert Moshi’s green zone into residential zone, which did not happen. Moshi was subjected to continuous injustice in five years. In the statement issued on Borate’s resignation, BJP city president and MLA Mahesh Landge has taken the role of avoiding commenting directly on him, but has also tried to give a warning that the BJP has other options in Moshi. He also said that Borate and his family are indebted to me, he will never forget, will not make any allegations and counter-accusations against him. However, Vasant Borate’s warnings or attempts to persuade MLA Landge did not have any effect and today he joined the nationalist side.

Do Introspection Vasant Borate
Expressing displeasure over this, BJP corporator and former mayor Rahul Jadhav said, after the establishment of Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation, the then ruling Nationalist Congress Party did injustice to the villages involved in development works and important posts for 20 years. MLA Mahesh Landge did not indulge in caste politics, but made his supporters councilors in the villages involved. He gave important posts to those who are corporators. Arranged development works in the included villages. However, Vasant Borate has hurt the self-respect of the villages involved by sitting in the line of Nationalist Congress for political ambitions. BJP worker Nikhil Bolhade commented that, surprisingly, Vasant Borate, the corporator of the ruling party, remembered that no development work was done in the last five years. What did Borate do for development in the ward? That is the real question. If the issue of land acquisition had been resolved with the cooperation of the local people to expedite the road construction, why would the roads remain incomplete? Whom did Borate follow during his tenure as councilor regarding the green zone? Before the elections, Borate is trying to blame the BJP for his failure. Borhade said that Councilor Borate should consider why development work could not be done while in the ruling party.
Moshiwasi Nilesh Borate, a supporter of MLA Mahesh Landge, said the time had come for corporator Vasant Borate to take such a decision as he had big political ambitions in his little experience in the Municipal Corporation. Self-respecting Moshikar will definitely support MLA Landge on the strength of development in the incorporated village including Moshi, who has actually preserved the self-respect of Moshikars. Earlier our people had to climb stairs to get tickets to the leader’s house. Landge brought the new candidates home and delivered the AB form. Made his workers as corporators. Now it is not right to take a different path for position and prestige.
