Bangalore: The hijab controversy that started in Karnataka is getting deeper. This dispute, which started from Udappi district, has now spread to the entire state. Students are continuously protesting about this. Meanwhile, State Education Minister BC Nagesh has given a big statement. He said, “Behind this is the SDPI Supported Campus Front of India. Schools and colleges will remain closed for three days in the state
It has been decided to close schools and colleges in the state for three days in view of the growing controversy over the hijab. Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai said, “I appeal to all students, teachers and management of schools and colleges as well as people of Karnataka to maintain peace and harmony. I have ordered the closure of all high schools and colleges for the next three days. Cooperation is requested from all concerned.”
Earlier, the Chief Minister had said, “We are waiting for the direction of the Karnataka High Court. I appeal to the students to maintain peace and harmony. I have instructed the school administration that there should be no clash between the students. Appeal to all concerned outsiders not to make provocative statements.

Stone pelting on police over hijab
In the state’s Shivamogga, two groups came face to face in support and opposition to the hijab, due to which the police had to lathi-charge the girl students. According to the news agency, police officials told them that the stone-pelting started after an argument between students wearing hijab and another group of students dressed in saffron shawls. Three students were injured in stone pelting. Superintendent of Police Lakshmiprasad and other senior police officers reached the spot and are monitoring the situation.”
After clashes and stone pelting between groups of students, police have imposed Section 144 in Shivamogga. On this, State Home Minister Araga Gyanendra said, “Strict action will be taken against those who contribute to worsen the situation in educational institutions.”
