Welfare : The Kalyan Traffic Police and the RTO took joint action against the rickshaw drivers for traffic jams and charging extra fare, which has created panic among the rickshaw pullers. Since morning on Tuesday, Kalyan City Traffic Police and Kalyan RTO jointly took disciplinary action against rickshaw pullers for violating traffic rules, causing traffic jams and charging extra fare.
In this action, about 800 rickshaws were inspected and a total of 85 rickshaw pullers were punished. This action will continue continuously from now on through 41 RTOs and 44 through Transport Branch and the traffic police has appealed to the rickshaw pullers to follow the rules.

From 9 am to 11 am on Tuesday, Transport Sub Branch Kalyan and RTO Kalyan jointly inspected around 800 to 1000 rickshaws in the area of Kalyan Railway Station, Deepak Hotel, ST Stand, Sadhna Hotel in which the batch did not wear license, After verification of khaki, white uniform vehicle registration, insurance, fitness, permit and other documents, punitive action has been taken against a total of 85 guilty vehicles, 44 through Transport Sub Branch Kalyan and 41 through RTO Kalyan.

Kalyan Transport Sub-Division has appealed to all rickshaw pullers to abide by the rules and regulations by informing the public about the amendments made in the Motor Vehicles Act and increase in the fine amount. Mahesh Tarde, senior police inspector of Kalyan traffic police, said Kalyan transport sub-branch RTO officer Ramesh Kallurkar and his associates were also involved in the operation.
