Jammu and Kashmir: 10 kg IED found in Bandipora, joint action of police and army

Srinagar: According to news agency ANI, a joint team of police and Indian Army has detected an IED in Bandipora, North Kashmir, while taking action at several places. Bomb disposal squad reached the spot and defused the IED. Police said that, in the past, IED was also found in Khwaja Bazar of Srinagar.

Let us tell you that on the occasion of Republic Day, the army is very alert and in collaboration with the police is raiding many suspicious places. Earlier, taking action, the police and security forces, taking joint action, have also arrested three terrorist assistants. The police have also recovered some weapons from them.

According to reports, incriminating material including arms and ammunition have been recovered from the helpers. They have been identified as Mohammad, Irshad Hussain, Ashiq Hussain. During investigation, the police came to know that all three terrorist organizations worked for Lashkar-e-Taiba.

IED was also found on Friday

It is noteworthy that earlier on Friday, during the operation, IED was also detected in Khwaja Bazar of Srinagar. It was placed in a pressure cooker. At the same time, the army and the state police have been on alert after getting the IED for two consecutive days. On the other hand, the army has increased the vigil on the borders.
