- Dubraj Rice District to Haddapar
- Buyers of Chinnor rice ranked second
Bhandara, Bhandara district, which is known as the district of paddy producers, has many varieties of paddy, among all these species, Jai Shri Ram is the largest buyer of rice, while Chinnor in the second place. The most important thing is that once the condition of Dooraj rice, which is the most liked in the district, has become such that it has come in the condition of being removed from the district.
In some era, the crop of HMT paddy was planted the most, but the times changed and now the Jai Shri Ram variety of rice is being liked the most. Chennur, PNR, 1010 and Suvarna species come after Jai Shri Ram species.
The most surprising thing is that at some point in the eyes of buyers, the Dooraj rice, which has got a place in the eyes of the buyers, has gone beyond the limits. Rice of Jai Shri Ram species is very fine, as well as this rice also has a fragrance. Some paddy growers are paying attention to the production of 1010 varieties of paddy along with Jai Shri Ram.
Some farmers have moved towards the production of 1008 and some Suvarna, saffron, but as far as being number one in the market is concerned, Jai Shri Ram’s rice is in the first place. Rice of this species is in high demand. This rice has become the first choice of every customer. It ranks first in the whole district in terms of rice sales, while Chennur is being accepted as the second choice.
Despite the highest demand for Jayshree Ram rice, the price per kg of this rice is Rs 55, while the second place in terms of demand is the price of Chennur rice at Rs 68. It is being said that if the price per kg of Chennur rice was around that of Jayashreeram rice, the customers would have been more impressed towards it.
Since Chennur rice is costlier by Rs 13 per kg, the number of people who buy this rice is less as compared to Jayashreeram rice. Some areas of Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh are connected with the border area from Bhandara district. Basmati rice is produced a lot in Madhya Pradesh. Along with Madhya Pradesh, this rice is in high demand in Pune and Chandrapur of Maharashtra.
Chennur rice is also produced in Bhandara district. Rice of various species was also sent for sale from Bhandara district, the highest ever produced in Bhandara district, Dooraj rice is now on the verge of extinction. . Like Dubraj, rice of HMT species is also on the way to extinction.
Some experts, on the condition of anonymity, said that in the last five-six years, the demand for Jayshree Ram, Chinnoor rice has increased in the district as well as in other places. Due to this rice being fine and aromatic, the number of people buying it is increasing continuously.
