In view of the increasing cases of Coronavirus infection in Chhattisgarh, Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel has asked to keep public places closed and impose night restrictions in districts with more than four percent infection rate. Officials gave this information. State Public Relations Department officials said on Tuesday that Chief Minister Baghel has directed all District Magistrates and Superintendents of Police to ensure all possible measures strictly under the COVID-19 guidelines in view of the increasing cases of COVID-19.
The Chief Minister has said that the main objective is to limit the infection and its related threat, and not to slow down the economic activities. Officials said that in the instructions issued in this regard, district magistrates and superintendents of police have been asked to ban non-commercial activities from 10 pm to 6 am in such districts of the state where the infection rate is four percent or more. Where necessary, action should be taken under the provisions of Section 144 and Epidemic Act. All schools, Anganwadi centres, libraries, swimming pools and public places should be closed in such districts.
Officials said that all the districts of the state have been directed to ban processions, rallies, group gatherings, social, cultural, religious and sporting events. Officials said that district magistrates and superintendents of police have been asked to appoint representatives of chambers of commerce, mall owners, wholesalers, owners of gyms, cinemas and theatres, hotel-restaurants, swimming pools, auditoriums, marriage halls, event management groups. Ensure that only one-third of the total capacity is admitted to these places.
