Mumbai: The Navy has played a major role in India’s rapidly growing strategic power. In view of the increasing threat from China in the Indian Ocean and Pakistan in the Arabian Sea, India has greatly strengthened its maritime power. In recent years, several submarines and warships equipped with state-of-the-art technology have joined the naval fleet under ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’. Many new types of state-of-the-art aircraft are also increasing the pride of the Indian Navy.
Experts believe that the Indian Navy has made its place in the top-5 navies of the world. The Indian Navy has strengthened significantly with the induction of destroyers ‘INS Visakhapatnam’ and ‘INS Vela’ with Brahmos and Barak missiles in late 2021. Many such warships, submarines and especially aircraft carriers like ‘INS Vikrant’ are going to join the Navy in 2022. Defense experts believe that the strength of the Indian Navy will increase very rapidly in the new year.
