Despite the Corona epidemic (COVID19 Pandemic), the railway has adopted a special preparation strategy for the festivals in view of the way in which long waiting in trains is going on. Under this, the railways have decided to run 200 special trains for Dussehra, Diwali and Chhath Puja. This information was given by board chairman and CEO VK Yadav a few days ago. However, the final decision on this has not been done yet. The railway will run special trains on Mumbai, Kolkata, Lucknow and Patna routes apart from the capital Delhi.
Actually, Dussehra on 25 October, Deepawali on 14 November and Chhath on 20 November and the crowds in trains on these festivals increase many times more than on normal days. It can be estimated from the crowd that there are many days left for these festivals to come, but there is already a strong waiting for tickets. Waiting in many trains has gone above 150.
There are 230 special trains currently running.
Due to the Corona epidemic, the railway had stopped its transport from 22 March which is still not normal. In May, the Railways started 30 30 AC IRCTC Special Train Services and 200 Special Train Services in June. After that, the railways decided to run 80 IRCTC special trains from September 12. Due to the low number of trains, tickets are also getting scarce due to which the Railways is doing special exercise for festivals.
Purva Express increased
Even before the special train is run, the Railways has given good news to the passengers, which will benefit the passengers on the rail routes from Delhi to Bihar, Jharkhand and West Bengal. Railways has extended the Poorva Express round before the festive season. This train runs between Delhi and Howrah. Railways has started this facility from October 5 today.
- Purva Express (02303) coming from Howrah to New Delhi will run on Monday, Tuesday, Friday and Saturday. This train passes through Patna. This rule has come into effect from 5 October.
- Purva Express (02304), leaving from New Delhi from 8 October), will run on Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday. This train passes through Aligarh, Kanpur, Prayagraj and Patna.
