Pakistan’s Prime Minister Imran spoke on the public stage in a strong tone, he has exasperated the officers working in foreign offices.
Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan
Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan is once again facing ‘dishonesty’ at the hands of his loved ones. Imran had publicly reprimanded the Pakistani diplomats, after which many diplomats have opened a front against him. He has even lodged an objection with the Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi and the Foreign Secretary against this behavior. Not only this, he has also expressed his displeasure on social media. (Pakistan ambassadors angry on PM Imran Khan criticized on Twitter)
Last month, Imran Khan recalled him from Saudi Arabia following a complaint against his diplomats. Pakistani citizens had filed a complaint against him. On Wednesday, the Pakistan PM also called a meeting in this regard. In this meeting, he reprimanded the ambassadors. People of the Pakistani Embassy heard a lot of disrespect for their irresponsible attitude.
Bribe ambassadors
Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan told diplomats in the video conference that the information received from the Embassy of Saudi Arabia and UAE is very disturbing. Embassy staff are taking bribes instead of helping people. He is surprised by the information about not helping the poor. People living abroad have sent a lot of complaints on Citizen Portal.
Foreign diplomats face criticism
Pakistan’s Prime Minister Imran spoke on the public stage in a strong tone, he has exasperated the officers working in foreign offices. He complained one after the other to Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi and the Foreign Secretary. Imran Khan, while praising the Indian ambassadors, also said that he collects investments for his country.
Outrage on social media
Even many diplomats and former employees of the ministry criticized his prime minister on social media. Former Foreign Secretary Tehmina Juneja said on Twitter, ‘The needless criticism of the Foreign Ministry is disappointing. It seems that the government does not have information about the work of the embassies. There is a shortage of staff in the embassy. Apart from this, there are many departments which are outside the ambit of the Embassy. He said that the mentality of the officials is colonial? This thinking is far from the truth.
Deeply dismayed at the unwarranted criticism of the Foreign Ministry. There seems to be woefully inadequate understanding of Embassies’ consular work, the acute resource constraints, and the role of multiple departments which not under the control of Ambassadors.

FSP suffers from decades of neglect, political paralysis, and resource constraints. What is needed now is a renewal of diplomatic capacity, resources, appreciation and an effort that balances ambition with limits of the possible at a moment of growing difficulties at home and abroad https://t.co/FtmVSQnrer

Need appreciation rather than criticism
Another Pakistan Foreign Secretary Jalil Abbas Jilani said, “We need to increase diplomatic capacity. At this time, rather than criticism, appreciation is needed. There is a need to increase resources. It is a difficult time and there is a need to reconcile. ‘ The opposition has also criticized Imran Khan. Sheri Rehman, senior leader of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) and Pakistan’s ambassador to the US, said, “The Foreign Service cannot raise investment by itself. It is true that she can help by giving better service in some mission, but it is wrong to say this way. Embassy staff are working day and night and they should not be discouraged.
Foreign Service is in no position to generate trade on it’s own.Yes it can provide better consular services at some missions, but publicly telling off all ambassadors is never done. In key embassies they work round the clock with meagre resources; demotivating them is not a thing https://t.co/LG48il3YU0
